Performance

NOCO No Rust Journal Bearing Oil is a high quality, high viscosity index (HVI), low pour point lubricating oil designed specifically for use in railroad car journal boxes utilizing plain bearings. It is formulated with premium paraffinic base oils and a balanced heavy-duty additive system that provides superior performance over a wide range of service conditions.

Benefits

  • Multi-viscosity lubricating oil that provides protection during start up as well as the proper viscosity and film strength required under various operational speeds.
  • Incorporates HVI Base Oils and a pour point depressant to ensure adequate supply of oil over a wide range of operating temperatures.
  • Enhanced with an additive system that controls deposits and provides outstanding rust and corrosion protection.
  • Provides excellent fluidity, good shear stability, good water separability, and outstanding resistance to foaming.

Typical Approvals

  • Designed for lubrication of railcar and locomotive journal bearings.
  • Conforms to stringent requirements of the Association of American Railroads (AAR) specifications M-963-84, etc.
  • It is recommended for use in saturating lubricating devices
