Reactivity Data
| Chemical Stability | Stable |
| Incompatible Materials | Oxidizing material, open flames, heat. |
| Hazardous Decomposition | Thermal decomposition products a re highly dependent on the combustion conditions. A complex mixture of airborne solid, liquid, particulate and gases evolve when this material undergoes pyrolysis or combustion carbon monoxide, heat, oxides of carbon, silicon, phosphorous, and formaldehyde. |
| Hazardous Polymerization | Will not occur. |
Health Hazard Information
| Routes of Entry | |
| Skin Contact | Brief contact is not irritating. Prolonged and/or repeated contact may result in local discomfort and/or local redness. |
| Skin Absorption | No evidence of harmful effects from available information. |
| Eye | Causes irritation. Causes stinging, discomfort, and pain. May also cause excess redness of the conjunctive and/or swelling of the conjunctive. |
| Inhalation | Short-term harmful health effects are not expected from vapor generated at ambient temperature. |
| Ingestion | No evidence of harmful effects from available information. |
| Medical conditions aggravated by overexposure. | A knowledge of the available toxicology information and of the physical and chemical properties of the material suggests that overexposure is unlikely to aggravate existing conditions. |
| other effects of overexposure | No adverse effects anticipated from available information. |
| HMIS Rating | Health : 1 ......... Flammability : 1 ......... Reactivity : |
Emergency and First Aid Procedures
| Eyes | Flush eyelids with water while holding eyelids apart. If symptoms persist or there is any visual difficulty, get medical attention. |
| Skin | Wash with soap and water and then flush with water until all chemical is removed. Remove contaminated clothing. |
| Inhalation | Remove to fresh air. If breathing has stopped, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Get prompt medical attention. |
| Ingestion | DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. Drink large amounts of water. Get medical attention. Take immediately to hospital. |
Special Protection / Preventative Measures Information
| Ventilation Requirements | Mechanical to maintain exposure below TLV. |
| Respiratory Protection | Normally not necessary in a well ventilated area. If workplace exposure limit of product or any component is exceeded, a NIOSH approved air supplied respirator is advised. |
| Eye Protection | Goggles or safety glasses. Provide eye wash station and washing facilities near use or handling facilities. |
| Protective Gloves | 4H, Butyl, Neoprene, and Nitrile. |
| Personal Hygiene | Always wash face and hands after contact. Remove contaminated clothing and wash before reuse. |
| Note | Wear fill work clothing needed to minimize exposure. |
| Other Precautions | Liquid waste fluid can be incinerated; if spilled material is collected by absorption on a solid absorbent, the solid waste material could be buried in a landfill. this fluid is insoluble in water, and will float on the surface; if a large spill occurs, avoid drainage to sewers or to natural waters. Traces of formaldehyde may be present if material is heated in air above 150°C(302°F). formaldehyde is a potential cancer hazard, a known skin and respiratory sensitizer, and an irritant to the eyes, nose, throat, skin and digestive system. OSHA has established a PEL of 0.75 ppm, 8 hour TWA and 2ppm, 15 minute STEL for formaldehyde. Provide ventilation adequate to control vapor exposure |
Environmental Procedures
| Spills or Releases | Dike or fill area. Avoid drainage. Absorb free liquid with earth, sand, clay or absorbent pads and place in non-leak containers for disposal. |
| Disposal | In accordance with Local, State and Federal laws. |
| Storage | Cool, dry. |
