As the temperature drops, we begin to use our heater more and more. And the more we use our heater; the closer we get to needing a replacement furnace. So what can you do to get the most out of your heater?
Changing your furnace filter is one thing you can do to prolong replacing your furnace. It can also cut down on furnace repairs, which let’s face it, arrive only when it’s an emergency, and you need it fixed right away.
A dirty air filter can also cause your system to run inefficiently. That’s why NOCO Heating Pros recommend you change your furnace filter once per season. That is once at the beginning of the heating season, (when you first turn your heater on) and once at the beginning of the cooling season (when you start using that air conditioner). This helps eliminate the dirt and dust that can affect your air flow and may even cause your furnace to require repairs.
So if you haven’t done so this season, head to the furnace and change your filter. It could save you money and time.
